You are an interior designer. How do you think your style with interiors and your fashion style connect?
I like for every design and style, whether it’s a room or clothes, to look timeless and crisp with a pop of something unexpected for interest.
What are your favorite fall wardrobe staples?
I cannot live without a black leather jacket and cognac booties. They’re classic and instantly make your outfit look put together and chic.
What’s trending right now that you are most excited to wear?
The boyfriend blazer! It’s such a versatile piece in my wardrobe. I can dress it up with statement earrings for my meetings with clients, but can also pair it with leather leggings for a relaxed night out.
Can you tell us a little about your design business?
JMC Studio is a full-service residential interior design studio. I design a room by taking classic, structural furnishings and marry them with modern and antique elements, allowing for a perfect balance of new and old. I want each space to evoke a simplistic, yet sophisticated environment. Most of all, I want each design to translate into a home.
What’s your biggest extravagance?
For clothes, I have an obsession with jackets. They add an extra layer (no pun intended) of detail to every outfit. For furnishings, it’s pillows. They’re like a jacket for your bed, sofa, chair… they add interest and you can switch them out with every season or holiday.

How would you describe your style?
I pick out what I am wearing according to my mood. Yes, most days you’ll probably seeing me wearing pink. What can I say, I am a happy human.
What do you most look forward to about fall?
It’s football season (GO CLEMSON), but I love rocking my booties. Side note: Candy corn pumpkins are my fav.
What are your favorite fall wardrobe staples?
A classic jean jacket, gold hoops, a solid pair of denim and a white pocket tee.
What’s trending right now that you are most excited to wear?
Polka dots and rainbow stripes. AHHH, I love them both!
How do you approach style when it comes to looking professional?
I try to be very classy when it comes to looking professional but on the occasion kind of edgy. I love rocking a tailored blazer and skirt at work.
What will we find on your blog?
Peeptoes and Pineapples has fashion tips, best boutiques of Birmingham, but also encouragement. I am a POSITIVE person and love sharing the love of Christ with others and strive to do so through my blog while incorporating fashion and lifestyle too.
What’s your biggest extravagance?
I splurged on a pair of Marc Fischer wedges for summer/fall. It’s the best purchase I have made this season.
Where do you find style inspiration?
I started following @loverlygrey on Instagram, and honestly she inspires me along with several other fashion and lifestyle bloggers.
